So, what would happen if President Donald Trump were re-elected? According to The Atlantic, the January/February issue:
• He would retaliate against his enemy. So just who has the President Joe Biden administration charged federally? Who have the Democrats vowed to prosecute?
• He would end our alliance with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, (NATO). President Trump simply asked why we pay a disproportionate amount of the cost of NATO, and why many nations do not spend the 2% of GDP required by the treaty.
• He would place loyalists, lapdogs, and cronies in his administration. Just who should he employ, Nancy Pelosi? Alvin Bragg?
• He will separate families in his “draconian” immigration policy. One must assume closing the open door of immigration is a bad thing. We have allowed more mostly unvetted immigrants into our nation under President Biden than we have the population of 36 states. Closing our open border policy is supported by 78% of Americans.
• He would avoid justice and punish his enemies. Have they read the news, ever heard of lawfare?
• He would target women. That is a statement so “prophylactic in nature” so broad as to have no meaning. The article stated he would “once again” target women.
• He would destroy the climate; “his approach to the environment is to ignore it.” Perhaps we can benefit from a bit less radical environmental policy. The President Biden administration policy has been to save the environment by shipping oil from halfway around the world, burning millions of gallons of oil, so that we do not need to pump it here and send it via pipeline, with a small fraction of the carbon produced.
• He would render the press irrelevant. How? Why? He may question the self-appointed deities in the press, but the rise of social media and thousands of media outlets is already doing that.
• He would turn scientific inquiries to a tribal belief system. The Atlantic article cited a tweet from 2019 in which President Trump said that hurricane Dorian could affect Alabama. When questioned about it he produced a document with a handwritten amendment on it. NOAA later confirmed it could hit Alabama, but it did not. Proof positive President Trump could “bend reality to fit his needs.”
• He would use the government to enrich his family. Ever heard of Robert Hunter Biden? James Brian Biden? Both made millions from foreign sources.
• He would allow China to control the developing world. The article stated that sure, President Trump put tariffs on China, but President Biden has hurt China more. You are just supposed to shut up and believe it. The article references President Trump’s unfounded claim that China was the source of Covid-19, so just believe that with hundreds of thousands of wet markets in Asia, Covid-19 just happened to come from the one wet market a few miles from the Wohan Lab, doing research into that virus? If you wish to believe it just happened naturally it is your right, but most do not.
• He would appoint judges who do not care about the law, the Dobbs decision being the foundation of that statement. Even the late progressive icon Ruth Bader Ginsburg said Roe v. Wade was unconstitutional.
• He would unleash the far-right extremists with no legal jeopardy; must have missed it in President Trump’s first four years.
• He would criminalize abortion. President Trump’s stand on abortion is in keeping with the law, it is up to the states.
• He would have less environmentally effective factories. A review of the federal controls on production is in order; manufacturing here would be better than producing it in China, Vietnam, or India without environmental controls.
• He would have schools teach incorrect history. Historically correct but politically incorrect history may be the goal.
• He will punish states that oppose him. Seeing the federal funds going to California and New York in the last three years, President Biden has rewarded “blue states” and by omission punished red states, but we must ignore that to be politically correct.
And more areas, five more, but you get the picture. We just may see the media saying President Trump is a Nazi, the devil and a … oh wait, they already have. My opinion.
What a plateful of gish gallop. If it weren’t a cult, you all would’ve moved on long ago. Trumpees epitomize the sunken cost fallacy.
Amen Jake, you would also think that the orange clown would quit running down the judge that is going to sentence the convicted felon, but it just goes to show ya he’s not the brightest bulb in the chandelier. But those of us who didn’t fall into the cult already knew that.
Mr. Gless,
Thanks for the comment. We can always depend on you for an inlightened and articulate comment.
Jakey is a indoctrinated teacher in the Marxist theory and application to bring down capitalism and FRWF is a Biden syncophant.. Two who hate this country, as does dementia Joe and his minions.
Can’t wait for November. The country is dying under sleepy Joe.
