A good friend and mentor who goes by the pen name of Ranger Rick sent me this little-known fact concerning our Constitution.
“There is not one reference to the word “democracy” anywhere in our founding documents, only “republic”. Democracy is mob rule. The government of the United States is a Republic. Was, is, and always will be. However, our poor educational system always uses democracy in describing our government instead of the correct republic. This is not only glaringly inaccurate, but it is treasonous. Young minds continue to be full of mush instead of being educated in the roots and history of our government from the beginning to now. There is little to no patriotism in younger generations because they are told their country is terrible. And we are… except with comparing the U.S. to all other countries of the world. We are the light of freedom and liberty to all peoples of the world. Why do so many want to come to the U.S. instead of Russia, China, North Korea, and every other country? Freedom and Liberty are the calling cards, make no mistake in thinking otherwise.
Republicans and Conservatives need to use “republic” and not ” democracy” because it is correct to do so. Especially when “democracy” is never mentioned once in any founding document, including the Constitution!”
I do miss his column; my thanks go out to Ranger Rick.
We must ignore the facts above, as the Constitution is a suggestion and not a document to follow; the Bill of Rights is a glob of words, not a founding document or rules to govern by.
Google the question “is the word democracy in the United States Constitution” and the dance starts; they dance around the issue, and it is hard to find the word “no” or “not..” The word police say things like the “Constitution establishes a federal democratic republic,” apparently, they do not know what the word “no” means, unless it is judged by them as politically correct.
Google “Is God mentioned in the Constitution” and it gets to “no” in the first word. Can we say politically correct wordsmithing? Google as an American corporation has the right to free speech, but we must keep our minds open when using it; like most of social media, they are on the side of the Progressive movement and disdainful of the politically incorrect truth and the Bill of Rights.
We are criminalizing speech; free speech is a bedrock of our nation but in a tortured way speech is being used to prosecute former President Donald Trump. To the new progressive/socialist movement, free speech is a deadly weapon, an AR-15; it must be controlled and censored/canceled or intimidated into relegating our Constitution to the ash heap of history.
Politically incorrect truth is called hate speech, and “incorrect, hurtful” speech, and our supposed defenders of the First Amendment, “a free press,” are undeniably the leaders in championing and even assisting government control of speech, with the very limited exception of a very few old liberals (and even they are only situationally supportive of free speech). My opinion
Do you need a hobby buddy? I’d be so happy to help you start a garden or find you a bicycle. Maybe you could volunteer somewhere? Help kids who struggle with reading?. Fear( I think you are afraid) really stands in the way of wisdom. What good do your rants do? Any good at all? Are you going to change anyone’s mind? Please stop. We don’t need it.
If you can’t argue the facts, you attack the author. I have three bikes and ride almost every day, we have three acres, with four gardens and landscaping, we maintain it all. Thanks for the comment, next time let’s debate the problem and not attack the author. Oh and thank you for making the free speech point of the column, ” We don’t need it” as you stated, thanks again.
I can argue the facts but why? Will I change your mind? I’m going to go enjoy the beautiful day. So over your fear mongering.
Every single essay attacks those you disagree with. Go find some joy
A republic is one of the many forms of democracy.
Democracy is a failed thought experiment from long ago. There’s a reason it was erased from the world until very recently.
Democracy is still with us – it is called Marxism.
