Barry County Sheriff’s authorities believe they may have found the body of a Delton area man reported missing last month.

A body was found in a wooded area not far from the property of David Lukins, 56. He had not been heard from since Sunday, May 27, and family reported him missing Monday, June 4.

His truck was found with a flat tire, near his Delton-area home. His home was locked and he is unreachable by cell phone. Lukins’ wallet also was missing. 

Authorities have indicated they have not declared the body to be Lukins, but they strongly suspect it is. They said they do not believe there was any foul play, but continue their investigation.
