Banana split dessert dish incredibly tasty, indulgent

Ingredients:

2 cups graham cracker crumbs

¾ cup white sugar

1/2 cup – a stick of butter melted

2 – 8 ounce packages cream cheese at room temperature

1 ½ cups confectioners sugar

6 bananas sliced

1 – 15 ounce can crushed or “tidbits sized” pineapple drained well

1 – 16 ounce container frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 – 16 ounce jar drained maraschino cherries

Coarsely chopped pecans for topping

Optional chocolate syrup to drizzle on when serving

Directions:

Melt butter in a 9×13 dish. Mix in the graham cracker crumbs and white sugar until fully incorporated and crumbly pressing to flatten and pack evenly into the bottom. Refrigerate until chilled and firm, about 30 minutes.

Mix together the softened cream cheese with the confectioners sugar until smooth, spread evenly over the chilled graham cracker crust.

Layer the sliced bananas, sprinkling the well drained pineapple of choice over the creamed cheese mixture.

Top with cherries and chopped nuts. Refrigerate for at least one hour and serve chilled topping with chocolate syrup if desired.

Enjoy!
