Don’t worry, the Indiana Idiot’s coordinating Uncle Sam’s Corona virus efforts.
And how good does that make you feel? Warm and cozy or scared witless? If your answer is scared witless, I have to say you’re probably not going to be lonely. It’s truly amazing how everyone in the administration parrots the ignorant President, except doctors, scientists, public health researchers and administrators, every Democrat in the House, Senate and presidential contest.
Most folks around the country, I’m pretty certain, would as soon Trump let doctors be doctors (spies be spies, soldiers be soldiers, etc., etc., etc.) There’s a certain amount of comfort to be taken in letting the experts do their work.
I see our racist (and forgetful) President is now targeting another faithful ally (the Laotian Mung) in an attempt to drive them out of America. Some three, or four hundred thousand of them came here to avoid persecution or murder, as we caught the last boats and aircraft out of Saigon. He’s trying do the same thing to them, after all these years, he recently did to Kurds along the Syrian/Turkish border, after years of faithful service against ISIS.
Yep, he’s a man to be proud of, you Trumpsters. As I wrote a couple of weeks ago, we’re soon going to learn what it’s like to live in a world without friends.
I’m really disappointed in the last two presidential debates. It seems most of them have forgotten their earlier pledge to concentrate on beating Trump. Continually shouting one another down, speaking out of turn, throwing old charges around, it sounded like a bunch of drunks arguing in a bar. Watchers couldn’t make out what any of them were saying. They only two who kept their act together were Amy Klobuchar and Mike Bloomberg. Bernie sounded like a man who can’t control his temper. What’s he going to do when Trump begins bugging him about the still unexplained (astronomical) costs of Medicare for All, free college for all, and forgiving, college loan debt?
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
As it stands right now, despite poor preparation for his first debate, I’m sticking with Bloomberg. He’s the only man in the race with long experience of Trump, and knows him like a well-read book. He’s got the money to beat Trump, and, demonstrably, isn’t afraid to spend it. He’s promised to divest himself of his businesses if elected. He has long history of living up to his promises.
Of course he’s made some mistakes. Who hasn’t? But he’s lived a long life in Trump’s world, and in Trump’s city, and likely knows at least something about every wretched, rotten deal Trump’s done over 50 years. And from the way he’s done things over the past three years, you can bet there’s a ton of dirt.
Trump is trying (again) to keep information on Russian interference in our elections from American voters, and making it happen. Our 17 national intelligence agencies are in absolute disarray from frequent changes of leadership. The office of the (acting) Director of National Intelligence (DNI) is now occupied by a man with not one iota of intelligence experience. He’s overseeing the work of seventeen large agencies, and without a clue. The last occupant of the office was fired for briefing Congress on (what else?) Russian interference. It’s like watching a Three Stooges movie.
Republicans in the Senate and House are aiding and abetting, just as they did in the recent impeachment trial… or we will. Trump’s a tool of Putin, and vice/versa.
