Wilbert “Bill” Vanderzee, age 89, died Thursday, Jan. 5.
Bill served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a claims adjuster for State Farm Insurance. He also volunteered many years for the Sheriff’s Department in Manatee County, Florida.
He is survived by his children Dale and LouAnn Vanderzee, Terry Vanderzee, and Julie Emmons; grandchildren Heather, Melissa, Barbara, Joe, Joshua, Jericho, Jordan; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Tier and Gertrude Vanderzee and wife, Sally (Amily) Vanderzee.
A celebration of Bill’s life is planned for this summer.
