This area’s boys’ high school basketball season will get under way Tuesday, Nov. 27, when Martin is host to Southwest Athletic Conference rival Bloomingdale.

The Hopkins boys’ varsity debut will be Tuesday, Dec. 4, at home against Hamilton.

The Wayland boys’ squad will open Friday, Nov. 30, at home against Lowell.

The girls’ seasons won’t start until next month. Martin will be in action on the home court Dec. 4 with an SAC contest against Lawrence. Both Hopkins and Wayland will open Friday, Dec. 11. The Vikings will be at Comstock Park while the Lady Wildcats will be host to Caledonia.
