The Martin Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Brad Blauvelt as new head varsity baseball coach.

Blauvelt, best known as coach of the state champion Martin High School eight-man football team, is attempting to continue his coaching success from the gridiron to the ball diamond.

He is no stranger to coaching baseball, as he guided the junior varsity when Jon Gambee was head varsity coach several years ago.
