Bridge at Martin exit, No. 55, over U.S.-131 is now open

The bridge at the Martin exit, No. 55, for access to the east-west M-222 between Martin and Allegan now is open. The bridge was brought down last winter and has caused traffic to detour. particularly to the east toward Martin. The bridge was open on the first day of the Memorial Day weekend. Michigan Department of Transportation officials promised it would be ready in time for the annual B-93 Birthday Bash next month, and apparently they have delivered.
