The bridge on 140th Avenue over the Rabbit River in Leighton Township has been repaired by the Allegan County Road Commission. Motorists are reminded people that it is only a two-ton bridge. An area resident said, “We have more vehicles over size driving over this bridge; big trucks cannot go over it.”

That means I cannot drive my Chrysler Pacifica across the bridge legally. Why doesn’t the county just pull the old bridge out, drop a tube in and restore full capacity traffic?
Also how does the county get their maintenance vehicles across including snow plows. Ask the county these questions and expand on this article.
