The “Bygone Days” series, a regular feature on Townbroadcast, will appear this week on Saturday, Nov. 26, rather than Wednesday, Nov. 23, because of the Thanksgiving holiday.
The research done at the Then & Now Historical Library in downtown Dorr has to be postponed until then because the facility will be closed Wednesday afternoon, being less than 24 hours away from Thanksgiving.
Then & Now customarily is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. The “Bygone Days” material and photos is almost entirely gleaned from the archives provide by the historical library.
The regular schedule for the weekly historical column will resume Wednesday, Nov. 20.
