Marcello Joseph Diaz, 34, of Holland, was arraigned Wednesday in Kent County District Court on charges of armed robbery of the Huntington Bank branch in Byron Center June 22.
Authorities said surveillance camera images of the maroon Chrysler Pacifica getaway vehicle played an important role in apprehending the suspect. Soon after releasing images of the robber and the vehicle, they said they received a credible Silent Observer tip.
Police said the Pacifica had a missing center cap on a wheel hub.
