Byron Center volleyball star has plenty of Wayland ties

Byron Center High School freshman Mallory Johnson earned second team all-state honors as a defensive specialist in volleyball, and observers could say it’s in the genes/ The daughter of Wayland High School graduate Missy Ritz Johnson and sister of former Wayland High basketball player, she was one of the big reasons the Bulldogs captured a Division 1 district title and an O-K White Conference championship. Missy Ritz played volleyball, basketball and softball at Wayland and is the coach of the Byron Center outfit.
