‘Carp Fest’ beats the heat in downtown Hopkins return

The Carp Fest returned to downtown Hopkins Saturday, featuring partying in the street, a pig roast, roasted chickens, other food items, adult beverages indoors and outdoors, Jill Jones doing patch sewing and leather repairs, the “Running of the Carp” and other fun. It was a bit hot and humid, with temperatures expected to reach as high as 90 degrees, but heartly sould such as those shown here persisted.
