James Adam Kipen, age 48, of Dorr, died Wednesday, March 20.

James was in the transportation industry for more than 20 years. He loved his family, fishing, sitting by the lake, and his beloved dogs, Sheba and Sophie.

He is survived by his wife, Kelli Kipen; children Arielle (Jake) Worden, Lexus Russell, Taylor Russell, and John Russell; granddaughter, Montana Norris; father, William Kipen; siblings Melissa (Rich) King, William Kipen Jr., Michelle (Eric) Harnish, Kristina (Scott) Schofield; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.

James was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Kipen.

Visitation with friends and relatives will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 24, with Rosary at 7:30 p.m., at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 4330 18th St., Dorr. A celebration of James’s life will commence at 11 a.m. Monday, March 25, with visitation one hour prior, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, Dorr Chapel. Deacon Jeff Ryan will be officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Parish Cemetery. 

In honor of James and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
