Celebration of life Friday in Dorr for Barbara Kerber, 82

Barbara Jean Kerber, age 82, died Sunday, Jan. 7.

Barbara was a beautiful loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and her big, loving heart. Family was everything to her.

She is survived by her loving children and family Kim (Pat) Fein, Kathy (Ray) Wiersma, Kay (Mark) Teska, Jeff Kerber; nine grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Cole; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James Edward Kerber; parents Earl and Myrtle Cole; sisters Sharon Parker, Sally Cole-Saul; and daughter-in-law, Debra Sue Kerber.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, Dorr Chapel (4330 18th St.), A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, Dorr Chapel, with visitation one hour prior. Barbara will be laid to rest at Maplewood Cemetery next to James.

In memory of Barbara and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Faith Hospice – Trillium Woods or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
