Bill Blaine Burnett Jr., age 68, died Monday, Jan. 15, at his home in Wayland.
Bill enjoyed spending time with friends and family and especially with his dear wife, Patti. Bill would light up with joy whenever his grandchildren came over for a movie night or a visit. He enjoyed summer days with his best friends, Bob and Tracy Donovan, out on Gun Lake, and riding his motorcycle. Bill loved to fill the room with laughter with his sense of humor and quick wit.
Bill is survived by his wife, Patti Burnett; children Clint (Amanda) Bancroft, Jamie (Laura) Hentig; grandchildren Kierah Montgomery, Liara Montgomery; siblings Dale (Gloria) Coulter, Ron (Pat) Coulter, Dawn (Tim Hoffman) O’Neil; brothers- and sisters-in-law Herb and Carol Berens, Sandy Gardener, Bonnie Isenhoff, Joe and Sally Hart, Terry and Betty Cooper, Cary and Lori Gray, Beth Cooper; best friends Bob and Tracy Donovan; and many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Sr. and Eleanor Burnett; son, Joshua Montgomery; and sister, Joanne Bazan.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, with visitation one hour prior, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services (Wayland Chapel), 312 N. Main St.
In memory of Bill and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Daybreak Church or to the family to assist with final expenses.
