James Mosely’s celebration of life is Saturday in Dorr

James Scott Mosely, age 65, of Dorr, died Wednesday, March 8.

He was born in Hastings to Jack and Patsy (Derby) Moseley and lived there the majority of his life.

James served in the United States Army for five years and then worked at Spartan Stores in Byron Center) for more than 23 years, where he was a member of the Teamsters. He was a very active member of the American Legion Post 127. He enjoyed many kinds of sports — football,bBaseball, golf etc. He spent his free time golfing, and enjoyed the leagues he was in (pool and horseshoes, and golf) He was a big personality with a even bigger heart to match.

James leaves behind his daughter Hannah (Bryan) Cole; his mother Patsy Palazzola; his girlfriend of five years Cindy Pate; brothers Jack (Joyce) Moseley, Timothy Moseley; sisters Truie (Kevin) Rotman, Laura (Ron) Purvis, Lynda Palazzola and Kathy (Bill) Palazzola,  and many nieces and nephews.

Committal Service to be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery at noon Friday, March 17.

A celebration of life will be hosted by the American Legion Post #127 at noon Saturday, March 18.
