Randy Lee Konecny, age 43, of Shelbyville, died unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 9.
Randy loved all things outdoors — everything from camping, hunting, bowling, fishing and golfing. Most importantly he loved his family. He had a reputation of teaching his nieces and nephews how to get into trouble.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Memorie Konecny; stepson, Andrew Boss; his parents Richard (Rose) Konecny and Renee (Doug Goodwin) Sevigny; his brothers Richard (Karen) Konecny, Ryan (Kellie) Konecny, Regan (Michelle) Konecny; stepsiblings Cassie (Matt) Merren, Paul Goodwin, Jessica Goodwin; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at Germond Cemetery in Shelbyville. Guests who will be attending are requested to bring a chair. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 22, at his father’s home.
In memory of Randy and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Allegan County Animal Shelter.
