Peggy Lou Serulla ( Creekmore) of Wayland died March 30. She was 89.

Born Nov. 14, 1934, in Rockhold Ky., she graduated from Kokomo High School in Indiana, and later from Grand Rapids Junior College of Nursing. She retired from Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.

Her loves were family, horse racing, books and the theater.

She is survived by her son, Bob, and his wife, Annetta, her grandchildren Lynn Serulla, William Serulla and Steven Serulla and many aunts and cousins .

Peggy was preceded in death by her her parents, Warren and Cleta Creekmore, her husband Otto, and her son, Steven.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at the Knights of Columbus at 1896 135th Ave., Dorr, with wake immediately following.
