Celebration of life Thursday in Martin for Jack Alles

Jack Bernard Alles, age 83, died Wednesday, June 9.

Jack enjoyed his family, church and volunteering at Lake Alfred Ministries in Florida. His passion was to help others with their vehicles or anything he could fix.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Arlene Alles; children Sandy (Dale) Kas, Debra (Don) Holtrop, and Linda (Roland) Constant; grandchildren Steve (Felicia) Kas, Robert Kas, Eric (Tamara) Kas, Tyler (Letizia) Kas, Jack (Julia) Constant, Anna (Adam) Cook, Douglas (Jessica) Holtrop, Katie (Timothy) Schepers, Marcia (Jordan) Stonehouse, Michelle (Steven) Speet; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings Jacob (Julia) Alles, Janet (Chuck) Vandermolen, Gerald (Shirley) Meekhof; many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harm and Martha Alles; in-laws Gerrit and Jeanette Meekhof; brother James and Crystal Alles.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 17, at Martin Reformed Church, 1073 West Allegan St., Martin. Visitation with family will be held directly after the service.
