Celebration of life will be June 29 for Jason Carroll

A celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 29, for Wayland High School graduate Jason Carroll at the Caledonia Family Tavern, 114 E. Main St.

Carroll, 52, died Saturday, May 25. A 1989 graduate, he was the son of retired Wayland High School teacher and former school board member Jon Carroll.

He weas born June 11, 1971, the son of Jon and Mary Lou Carroll. He also is survived by brother Lawrence Johansen, sister Jaime (Carroll) Owings, his four children Dylan Williamson, Dalton Carroll, Penny and Zakk Urias, and grandchildren Aaliyah, Jayce and Dalton Jr.

Jason’s love for his kids and grandchildren never went unnoticed. Jason lived to hear the roar of the engines and feel the thrill of the ride whether it was on his dirt bikes or his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Beyond his love for adrenaline-fueled adventures, Jason had a heart of gold.

The venue will be in the lower half of the Family Tavern in Caledonia. Lunch will be served. A bartender will be available, but it is on a “buy your own” basis.
