The charity basketball scri0465ee61f883337a-bkb-toy-drive-505x338mmage between the Wayland boys’ varsity and the 2010 alumni has been called off Saturday afternoon because of inclement weather, according to the Wayland Athletic Boosters.

The new date and time have been set for 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22.

The 2016-17 Wayland High School varsity boys’ basketball team was set to take on members of the 2009-10 Wildcat squad in a charity basketball game at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Wayland Union High School gym

Donations were to be collected for the Epic Toy Drive to benefit patients at Helen Devos Children’s Hospital.

It was to be a contest for bragging rights for point guard Wes Hudson’s crew that won 23 games in a row before losing in the Class A regionals against the current group, led by Avery Hudson and Zack Nieuwkoop.
