Christmas 2017 travel was hazardous for the holidays

Oh, the weather outside was frightful on Monday, Christmas Day. It was so bad that many West Michigan churches canceled services. Travel to visit families and loved ones was restricted by occasional white-outs, blowing and drifting snow, falling temperatures and slick roads. So some families had to call off their annual celebrations, dinners and gift exchanges. Two traffic crashes were reported on U.S.-131 near Grand Rapids. Shown here is what John Fredrick was looking at while motoring back Monday afternoon fro0m visiting relatives in the Detroit area.
