City Council contest will be 4 for 3 seats in November

A challenger has decided to join the race for three Wayland City Council seats in the November general election.

Sheryl Hamilton, who has been employed for the last six years by the Gun Lake Casino, will be on the ballot, along with incumbents Rick Mathis, Jennifer Antel and Lisa Banas, making it a four-for-three contest.

The other three council seats, held by Tim Rose, John Sloan and Tracy Bivins, are not up for election this year, nor is the position held by Mayor Tim Bala.
