A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued by the City of Wayland for residences and businesses along Clark Street because of a water main break.
City officials said affected customers are two residential customers and four businesses and all of them have been notified.
A statement from the city said, “This precautionary action is being taken due to the loss of water pressure. Whenever a water system loses pressure for any significant length of time, precautionary measures are recommended. For customers in the affected area, please boil all water used for drinking, cooking, and making ice until further notice.”
Officials said they expect the advisory will be lifted by Friday, Dec. 13.
