City park bereft of children’s play equipment, only for now

All of the children’s play equipmePark Project Prepnt has been removed from the Wayland City Park to make way for the new and for a splash pad. Volunteers and City Department of Public Works employees removed the old equipment and had it taken to Wee Wings Preschool. Kathy Abts and her daughter, Ashlynn, provided the digging to holes to place the old toys in. City officials have indicated the new equipment, splash pad and renovations in the park should be ready for a ribbon cutting sometime around Memorial Day.
