Wayland City Manager Mike Selden told the City Council Monday night that some of the work on the City Park project may begin this fall and that the city plans to sell the old playground equipment to the highest sealed bidder. There are no plans to begin work on the splash pad until next spring for obvious reasons. The old playground equipment will be sold rather than destroyed because it is said to be in good condition and the city would like to save on costs of remo0val and make a little bit of money.
