The curbside recycling program in the City of Wayland will be back in force on every other Tuesday after the end of this week.

Republic apparently sent residents the wrong calendar by mistake. So local recycle days will be on Tuesdays for the City of Wayland, and a new calendar will be coming out by the end of Tuesday. Local residents are urged to put recycling receptacles out Friday night for Republic to come by Saturday morning to pick it up, since it was their mistake!

City Hall issued a statement that said, “Due to an error while making the recycle calendar for 2022 that Republic Waste Service sent out, we (city officials) were under the impression that the recycle day was changed to Fridays. However, it was in error, and it will stay on our regularly scheduled day — Tuesdays.”
