Wayland Union Schools’ summer programs got under way Tuesday, as some students began summer classes and many others showed up at Steeby Elementary to take part in the “Meet Up and Eat Up” series of free breakfasts and lunches three days a week from now through Aug. 8. The free meals are for children up to 18 years of age on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week from 8 to 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to noon.
