The Martin girls’ and boys’ bowling teams the new year 2022 portion of their schedule scoring their first dual match victories by besting Parchment Monday afternoon at the Rock ‘N Bowl Lanes in Wayland.

The identical 27-3 victories lifted both Clipper teams to 1-3 overall on the season.

The boys rolled Baker games of 117 and 138 to pick up five points in each game. In the individual games, junior James Blackburn led the way with games of 145 and 160 in the third position, winning both matches. Senior Cris Ramos rolled a 160 in the second contest to add two points. Senior Javan Lowe also won both of his heads-to-head matches with games of 124 and 146. As a team, the Clippers rolled a season-high 699 in the second game.

The Lady Clippers also grabbed five points in each of their Baker games with a 103 and 107 (season highs). Senior Ellie Castora won both of the individual matches in the second position with a team-high 142 in Game one, followed by a 117. Senior Emma White (121-123) and junior Annika Dillenbeck (135-98) also picked up individual wins in both of their matches.

The Clippers will return to action Monday, Jan. 17, at Rock ‘N’ Bowl, as they welcome the South Haven Rams. The matches are slated to begin at 4 p.m.
