Both Martin boys’ and girls; basketball teams came up with Southwest Athletic Conference victories Friday night at Coloma.

The Clipper boys staged a furious comeback to register a 61-58 victory and improve their season record overall to 3-0.

The Lady Clippers took their season debut, 46-40, over the Comets.

The boys’ squad trailed 34-21 at the half, but battled back to overtake the host quintet. Carter Hilton led attack with 21 points. Cayden Curry added 15 and Clayton Geerlings had eight.

The Martin boys’ squad will be looking to make it four in a row Tuesday evening with a non-league contest against Zion Christian in Byron Center.
