Clipper Logo_6_4The Martin girls’ basketball team improved its season record to 12-8 with a 62-32 victory Friday night in the crossover game for the Southwest Athletic Conference.

The Clippers, who finished at 4-6 in the SAC North Division, wasted no time in taking control of this one, shooting out to a 13-6 lead after one period and 30-13 at the half. It was more of the same for the rest of the ballgame.

Junior Jazmine Hildebrand scored a career high 32 points, hauled won 14 rebounds and dished out six assists. Senior Cassidy Beazley contributed 11 points and a dozen rebounds, as Martin dominated the inside game.

Marissa Baraza scored eight points to lead Hartford, which is 4-12 overall and 2-5 in the SAC.

The Clipper girls now will prepare for the Class D district tournament starting Monday, March 2.
