The Martin varsity football team continued its relentless search for a state Class D eight-man football championship by taking down visiting Tekonsha 41-0.

The Clippers struck early and often and built a 41-0 lead by halftime. With a running clock operating the entire second half, they coasted the rest of the way to run their overall season record to 10-0.

The Indians finished their season with a 7-3 record.

As a result of Friday’s action, Mendon will return to town this Friday at 7 p.m. for the next round of the playoffs. The Hornets, 8-2, blasted Lawrence 56-12 and will be looking for revenge from a 28-20 loss to the Clippers during the regular season.
