Clippers marching band plays 2 tunes for cancer patient

The Martin High School Clipper marching band took a break from band camp to play for a band member’s grandmother Wednesday, Aug. 17. Ethan Jonker’s grandmother, Jamie Hayes, underwent surgery Tuesday for breast cancer. They surprised her by walking over from the camp and played two of their show songs for her. She was surprised and was brought to tears by their kindness. She said that the students made her day and that they sounded amazing. (Photo supplied)
