The Martin boys’ varsity basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season overall with a 47-22 victory over Galesburg-Augusta Friday.

The Clippers held their hosts to just two points in the first quarter and four in the second en route to capturing a 22-6 lead at intermission. They coasted the rest of the way.

Carter Hilton and Clayton Geerlings together picked up 24 of the team’s 28 points in the third quarter.

Geerlings scored 17 points and Hilton added 15 to lead the offensive attack

Martin will returns to action at the home floor Friday against Coloma.
