The Martin boys’ varsity basketball squad took an easy 55-43 victory at Bangor Friday evening to run its overall season record to 6-8.

The Clippers raced out to an 11-4 lead at the close of the first quarter and were up 34-20 at intermission. They took a hefty 47-28 lead into the final eight minutes of play.

The one-two punch of junior Garrett Dill and sophomore Tanner Curry was too much for Bangor. Dill tallied 20 points and Curry added 19 and he gathered 18 rebounds.

The Clippers will be at home against Lawrence Tuesday evening.
