Clippers packing offensive wallop with 54, 64 points

The Martin eight-man varsity football team apparently has another scoring machine on its hands.

The Clippers, who have lost only twice in three seasons, both of those in playoffs to the eventual state champion made another ominous statement Thursday night with a 64-12 triumph at Fennville. That’s a whopping 118 total points over two games thus far this season.

The opposite has been true for Hopkins, which has registered only eight points in its two ballgames. The Vikings were blanked by Allendale 14-0 Thursday on the Falcons’ field.

The two teams fought to a scoreless draw at halftime, but Allendale went up 6-0 in the third quarter and added eight points in the fourth.

Why do you have a Hopkins Vikings helmet picture next to an article about the Martin Clippers?
