Construction company owner Todd Dykstra dies

Todd Alan Dykstra, 56, of Middleville, died Saturday, Nov. 13.

Todd was the owner of Dykstra Construction and worked as a truck driver for Grassmid Trucking and Grand Rapids Express. He enjoyed karaoke, fixing and building things, yard work, landscaping, grilling, skydiving.

He was a gasman in the pit crew for Bob Senneker racing. Todd loved playing with the grandkids, spending time outdoors, giving tractor rides, Bill Knapp’s chocolate cake and KFC

He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Dykstra (Furlong); children Daniel (Julia) Terpening, Carmen (Justin Loew) Terpening; mother, Janice Dykstra-Salisbury; siblings Rebecca Dykstra, Barry Dykstra; grandchildren Sawyer Terpening, Haley Loew, Levi Terpening, Riley Loew; mother-in-law, Sue Burd; and many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Jay Dykstra; brother, David Mark Dykstra; nephew, Thomas Jay Dykstra; and father-in-law, Melvin Burd.

A celebration of life service will be held at noon Friday, Nov. 19, at Kubiak Cook Funeral Home, 4330 18th St., Dorr, with a time to visit with family and friends from 10 a.m. to noon prior to service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice.
