Let me state, first and foremost, I am not looking to blame anyone in my comments.
I find it curious that in Allegan Co., as in AZ, there are unusually low counts in the number of cases reported of COVID-19. On the surface that would seem encouraging. But I’ve noticed in Townbroadcast an unusual number of obituaries in the past month, yet only one was attributed to the virus.
I feel as if governors are telling us the truth that testing is the issue that inhibits the ability to get accurate statistics about the real number of cases.
MI is third in the nation with the number of deaths, yet Allegan Co. reports only 41 cases and no deaths. If that’s the truth, that’s so wonderful for that part of the state.
And AZ seems unusually low, but Native American statistics are not included in our numbers, yet the northeast part of our state is a large portion of the Navajo Nation, and their numbers are growing exponentially.
Everyone wants the very best for the country, and I sincerely hope that the governors can encourage Washington to rally behind the need for testing supplies so we can get an accurate handle on this thing, and learn and prepare for the undesirable event of another pandemic somewhere down the road.
    Stay healthy, everyone.

An important edit to my comments above: statistics regarding COVID-19 on the Navajo Nation ARE included in Arizona statistics, making our total state numbers even more concerning in how low they remain.
