3-19 Wayland Splash Pad

The Wayland City Council Monday night agreed to spend $526,618 on the renovations for the City Park next year.

Council agreed to pay Pentura that amount to install a splash pad with a concrete base, for site and utility work and to install new playground equipment. Much of the money will come from state grants.

City Engineer Mickey Bittner of Wightman & Associates recommended the splash pad have a concrete base because of better longevity and lower replacement costs.
