The continuing surge of the Coronavirus is wreaking havoc with local businesses and services. Henika District Library today announced it will be closed until next Monday, April 19, because one staff member has tested positive for Covid-19. Meanwhile, a variety of fast-food restaurants, such as Burger King, McDonald’s and Taco Bell have been closed temporarily during the past week and a half because of the virus. The Allegan County Health Department Monday reported one more death due to Covid, bringing the total to 121 since pandemic began 13 months ago and the seven-day daily average of new cases is 62.7, up significantly from 7.7 reported on Feb. 21.
