The Allegan County Health Department Thursday reported there have been 39 deaths attributed to the Covid-19 virus since the pandemic began last March.
That figure is six more than the number announced Monday and 33 more than what was indicated in September.
A total of 4,330 cases of the Coronavirus have been reported in Allegan County since March, with 11 hospitalizations and 1,976 regarded as being recovered.
Local schools are operating on a grade of “D,” which is one step above having to resort to all virtual instruction. Hopkins and Wayland are operating on a hybrid system, with half of the students attending in person Mondays and Thursdays and the other half Tuesdays and Fridays. Wednesdays are reserved for all on-line and interventions.
Martin has been undergoing an in-person model five days a week.
However, all high schools in Michigan are operating under virtual learning at least until Wednesday, Dec. 9.
