Morgan and Mallory… and Bethany makes three. They’re happy at Davenport University.
Bethany Teunissen, who just graduated from Wayland High School last spring, has decided to become the third of the Teunissen sisters to play softball at Davenport University.
The youngest Teunissen was a heavy hitter for the perennially successful Lady Wildcats, who were upset in the Divisio0n 2 regionals last June and finished the season with a 25-8 record overall. Bethany, like Morgan and Mallory, was a member of Wayland’s
Division 2 state championship team.
Mallory, a junior, has emerged as the ace of the Davenport pitching staff. She earned all-NAIA region honors last spring. At Wayland she was all-state and was selected as pitcher of the year in 2015.
Meanwhile, Morgan finally decided to retire from the game last spring.
Bethany, an infielder, will be counted on for her heavy hitting for the Panthers.
