David Allen TeGrootenhuis, age 77, died Wednesday, Jan. 5.

Dave was someone you could always look up to, count on and would help out in any way he could. Born and raised on the family dairy farm in Wisconsin, he was the 12th of 13 children.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sharon (Hohnke) TeGrootenhuis; two sons Mark (Charlene) TeGrootenhuis and Jeff (Shawn) TeGrootenhuis; six grandchildren Steven (Cassie), Jessica (Kameron), Andrew (Sandy), Kaitlyn, Christian, and Camryn (Sarah); 13 great-grandchildren; and many friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents Christaan and Angeline TeGrootenhuis and in-laws Bill (Doris) Hohnke.

A private celebration of Dave’s life will take place in the near future, with time and date to be determined.
