Allegan County Sheriff’s deputies Monday began calling Special Needs Registry participants to continue reaching out to residents who have registered with Allegan County Emergency Management as being homebound or with special needs.

The purpose of the call is to check in with them about their ability to care for themselves during the current COVID-19 shelter in place situation.

The only questions deputies are asking are:

  • Is everything going alright?
  • Are there any critical needs you have?

Recommending the following:

  • If you have any concerns in the future, please call 211 and they will direct you to resources.
  • Please take care of yourself and don’t be afraid to reach out if you need help.
