Word on the street is that the property on the south side of 142nd Avenue in downtown Dorr, across the street from the Colonial Kitchen, is being purchased by the Dorr Township Downtown Development Authority (DDA). The property for many years owned by a Mrs. Smit, was regarded as an eyesore and it sometimes featured anti-township graffiti. It has not been disclosed as yet what the use will be at the site. Local officials did not respond to inquiries.
