William Hall, 89, of Dorr, was killed in a traffic crash Monday afternoon in Byron Township.

Kent County Sheriff’s authorities said Hall was driving southbound on Clyde Park Avenue just before 4 p.m. when he failed to yield the right of way to a pickup truck coming from the west on 100th Street. Deputies said he had two family members as passengers in his Ford Escape

Hall  was transported to nearby Metro Hospital, where he later died. His passengers also were hospitalizedwith unspecified injuries.

There was no word whether the pickup driver suffered any injuries.
