Benjamin Franklin Miklusicak of Dorr has been sentenced to at least 10 years in prison for his conviction of being a sexual offender in possession of child pornography.

He was sentenced earlier this month by a federal judge recently sentenced to 124 months, or more than 10 years. He had been convicted of criminal sexual conduct in 2004 with a girl under age 13 and had admitted to having a prurient interest in underage girls.

The U.S. Department of Justice said Miklusicak pleaded guilty to the charge in December,  and he faced a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison.

Department of Homeland Security offficials called Miklusicak “an extreme danger to our youth,” because of his repeated crimes.

Authorities said they found child pornographic images on his laptop.
