Dorr native Adrianna Schut was church organist 56 years

Dorr native Adrianna Schut, 92, died at home in Fennville Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Born Dec. 19, 1926, in Dorr, she was the daughter of Anthony and Elizabeth (Machiela) DeKraker and was the wife of the late Albert Schut. Mrs. Schut was a member of Hope Reformed Church in South Haven and had played the organ for Immanuel Reformed Church for 56 years.

She is survived by her children, Albert Schut (Althea Grays), Lynda MacHaila, Diana Moelker (Eric Kiander), Dan (Pam) Schut, Lyle (Diane) Schut, Todd (Lorie) Schut and Lisa (John) Kiss; daughter-in-law, Delores Schut; sister, Joyce (Larry) Potgetter; sisters-in-law, Velma Nykamp, Edna Schut and Fay Handlogten; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Anthony and Elizabeth, and her husband, Albert, Mrs. Schut was preceded in death by her son, Tony Schut.

The family will receive friends at Chappell Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today (Friday). A funeral will take place at Fennville United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14. Burial will follow in Plummerville Cemetery, Ganges Township.
